Tacos – I always try and make a trip to Taco Bell when I am in America or now Manchester!

What is the most fun thing you've done?

Swam with Dolphins

What did you want to be after you left school?

A vet just so I could cuddle cute animals all day!

Were you ever in trouble at school?

I like to call it, ‘living life to the full’!

What was your favourite subject at school?

Chemistry but only because it didn’t involve writing essays and I could play with/put stuff in a bunsen burner and see what happened!

What's the best thing you've done as a scientist?

I have developed science and technologies for defence applications that have helped save lives.

What or who inspired you to become a scientist?

My A Level chemistry teacher – Dr Thomson

If you weren't a scientist, what would you be?

A social worker

If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!

The money and time to travel the world and experience as many different cultures as I can!
