I’m currently woking on developing new medical devices base on nanotechnology. So the idea is to develop materials that can be used within medical research and the pharmaceutical industry. For example, we are looking at ways that we can build sugar sensors that we can implant into diabetic people so if their sugar levels get to high the device releases insulin, then the pateient never needs to have regular injections they just change the implant every few months.

I make materials that can help people recover from their injuries. I can’t think of a better way to use the science I do to help people get back to living a happy and fulfilled life after their injury. If these materials work out, I could help a large number of the general public.
