• Question: if you don't win the cash prize what will you do next?

      I’m lucky that in my current job there are plenty of opportunities for outreach and engagement, so not winning won’t disrupt me too much. Still love to win though!

      Currently I’m dealing with applications for jobs and interviews to start after I’ve finished my PhD so I have a lot to be getting on with if I don’t win!
      As my mum always says, it’s not the winning it’s the taking part! Even if I don’t win I’ve really enjoyed the process and have been asked some really great questions that have made me think more about my job and how to make it accessible to young people.
      I’m sure even without the £500 my friend will go ahead with his YouTube channel, it just might take a little bit longer to develop without the extra funding!

      Finish my PhD, that keeps me very busy! I do lots of outreach here at Warwick so I will skill get to introduce pupils to science. As for the immediate future have a pint after the event is done and give myself a pat on the back for juggling this event and my normal work load for 2 weeks!
