• Question: Did you enjoy science when you were at school?

      Yes, very much. In fact, it was my English teacher who first spotted that I was going to become a scientist. I was demonstrating the synthesis of oxygen (lighting a glowing splint) to potential first years at an open day and he told my parents during a teacher meeting that I was going to be a scientist.

      Yeah I loved it! I learn best by doing an activity and watching what happens (rather than reading books about it) so science suited my learning style well.

      yeah was alot more fun than english but not as fun as playing football
