      It has made jobs more competitive – we have to compete globally now against talent people from all around the world.

      I’d agree with David about jobs being more competitive, that was something that was always going to be affected by the economic crisis.
      The other thing that has affected my work is that there is less money in the drug industry for funding research students. This has meant we haven’t had as much money to buy/replace equipment, or to get new students in to help with our research. It means you’re constantly looking at a way to reduce the cost of what you’re doing – which is a good thing in many ways, but if you know there is something you need that is expensive it can be harder to convince your boss of how necessary it is!

      I agree with other guys, it has made getting a job a lot more competitive and has made funding towards universities for research alot harder to get
