On a normal working day when I am in the lab I work from 9am-6pm. I try to keep to those working hours so I get a chance to unwind and relax before the next day arrives but that doesn’t always happen.

I chose this job because I enjoy science. I am very lucky to be in a job I love and am interested in.

I think if you don’t enjoy your job then you’re going to have a struggle getting out of bed in the morning. I love that I use my enjoyment for science in my job everyday!
My hours are same as Zoe – approximately 9-6 though some days I’ll be able to come in a bit late or leave a bit early, and other days I have to watch a reaction till 8pm. You do the hours you need to to meet your targets, and nothing more than that is expected.

Around 8-5 usually, although we can be flexible with our working times. And yes, 9 years later I still love the job
