• Question: What makes us human?

      Good question! I think it is to do with the fact we have a conscience (we know right from wrong). In contrast my dog called Monty never seems to learn that if he barks in the garden then he is disturbing the neighbours!

      I think one of the main things that makes us human is our self-awareness – so our ability to ask the question “what makes us human?” or “what is the point of life?” and the level to which we strive for answers to those questions. As Zoe says our conscience comes into this as it we are one of few species known to show morality and the concept of right and wrong.
