• Question: Which chemical do you use the most in your work and what are its purposes?

      I use mainly organic molecule (ones that are made mainly from carbon atoms). I use them to make new materials that are not toxic to the body.

      The chemical I use most is acetone. This is the same as the chemical you get in most nail varnish removers. I use it to clean up my glassware because I make a lot of mess!! 😀

      The most common chemicals I use are heetane, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane and acetonitrile. This are all solvents for our the equipment that purifies our reactions and allows us to isolate products.
